Research three different manufacturers for ONVIF conformance, and list them here. Share one specific camera/device model found from each manufacturer.

Confirm for yourself whether they show up on the official ONVIF conformance directory and which profiles are supported (i.e. Profile S, Profile G, etc.).

If you have any questions or issues as you move through this exercise, please be sure to let us know so we can help.

  • "Flir FC-Series R are compatible with ExacqVision Management Software version 6.0.8.59040." * Registered with ONVIF as profile S, seems limited to only certain VMS versions
  • Picture Model Votes Best settings

[Suggest] SNC-CH115 0    (ONVIF) Connect to software
*registered wth ONVIF as profile S
  • Bosch Autodome 800 HD PTZ  ONVIF CONNECT. * the 800 Junior was registered, as well as an 800 fixed. im guessing the HD PTZ version is the same technology just in a different housing. I wonder if each model must be tested.
  • Question: Do all ONVIF profiles handle ptz control?
  • Im guesing PTZ was the driving force behind ONVIF, maybe along with VMD ( from what i hear)Personally, ive never come across a VMS that didnt have server side VMD.

These cameras all came off the onvif conformance directory. All profilies are G and S. One camera is a PTZ the others are fixed. I found it harder than I understood that there are a lot of cameras that are not complient.

Axis M3004-V

Looking in the data sheet, it says the camera is ONVIF Profile S compatible. Checking in the official ONVIF conformance directory, it says is conform with Profile S, with the firmware 5.40.5.2 and was approved in 2012-08-22.

Avigilon 3.0C-H4SL-BO1-IR

Looking in the data sheet, it says the camera is ONVIF compliant with version 1.02, 2.00, Profile S. Checking in the conformance directory, it displays the series (xxC-H4SL-BOx-IR), saying it's conform with Profile S, with firmware 3.12.0.26(16454) and approved in 2016-09-02.

Bosch FLEXIDOME IP starlight 7000 VR

In the data sheet it says the camera is ONVIF compliant with Profiles S, Q and G. Checking that, this particular camera does not appear in the list... the model exactly below (FLEXIDOME IP starlight 6000 VR) does appear, but it says is compatible with Profile S only (and a fairly new approve date, 2017-01-05).

So, you really can't know if this camera complies with ONVIF or not. Maybe they did not submit the test, or ONVIF didn't put it online yet...
