How Much Money Will ADT Make On This Former Customer Offer?

Someone shared the following offer with me:

  • 36 month monitoring agreement for $36.99 per month, $1,331.64 total
  • $204.48 credit for first year reducing first year monthly price to $19.99
  • $100 Visa Card

ADT sends tech to check the existing on-site equipment.

So assuming the equipment is already there and not much needs to be changed, I assume this will be quite profitable. Yes/no?

About $1000 revenue on a 2-hour tech call? 

Yeah, i would say that's quite profitable. 

And that's just for the initial 3 year contract- most monitoring customers hook up and stay much longer than 3 years- so this might be a $2000-$3000 customer with only an investment of a 2-hour tech call (and probably a 10% commission on the first year's monitoring revenue for the sales rep who signed the deal.
