Storage / video appliance supplier, Intransa has raised additional funding, furthering a massive amount of investment. According to US government documentation, Intransa raised an additional $1.87 Million USD (disclosed in June 2010). Additionally, in December 2009, Intransa notified the US govenment of raising $1.5 Million USD.

Prior to this recent activity, Intransa raised $15 Million in 2008 [link no longer available].

Launched in 2000 and having changed in several iterations, Intransa's total fund raising is significantly over $50 Million USD.

Intransa has focused in the last two years in developing a solution for turn-key NVR appliances with pre-loaded video surveillance software. While we have received reports of integrators excited about the ease of use, significant questions exist about the relatively high cost of the offering and the actual value over using COTS hardware.

Competitor/peer Pivot3 has similar investment levels with a most recent fund raising of $29 Million USD (see our investment directoy for information on Pivot3 and other video surveillance fund raising).
