HD Product Series Introduced

Dallmeier has announced an HD product series line including (no surprise) HD cameras [link no longer available] and HD recorders [link no longer available] [already purchased models can be upgraded. More interesting/questionable are a series of HD encoders [link no longer available] and decoders [link no longer available]. The encoders upscale SD video up to 1080p (not sure of the benefit of this?). The decoders output HDMI up to 1080p and have built-in matrix functionality (which makes sense to me for displaying video in control rooms).
