Request for Proposal documents (RFPs) are common and important documents for specifying and bidding video surveillance systems. Video Insight has posted samples of their RFP document in both PDF [link no longer available] and DOC [link no longer available] versions.
Manufacturers develop RFP documents to empahsize their proprietary advantages, carefully specifying requirements to match their specific features. This is a source of gamemanship, frustration and lock-in.
