Avigilon's big release for ASIS is the "Access Control Manager Embedded Controller"

In doing so, Avigilon is cutting out the server, delivering an 'embedded' version of their ACM software on HID VertX controllers, making Avigilon access less expensive for smaller systems, but giving up some features compared to their full-fledged ACM platform.

In this note we examine this offering comparing to Axis Entry Manager.

No they dont make it or no its doesnt look like it?

It is an HID VertX1000 controller, not a Paxton Net2 Panel.

not having to include servers in proposals/installs for small access control systems will save a good amount of money... this should create good opportunities for that market...

Also, while ACM also supports VertX 1000 controllers, any upgrades to appliance based ACM from the embedded version will require different firmware and essentially erase any current configurations and history.

Version 1.8 now includes upgrade path.
