That's a very clever feature. Nicely done, guys.
Anything But Arecont, Avigilon, Axis: A New Feature
Many of you want to find the right cameras but have a short list of manufacturers you simply refuse to consider, either because of poor quality, restricted dealer availability, unable to make money on them, etc.
Now, the IPVM Camera Finder not only lets you find the exact match across over 40 advanced search criteria and 2400 cameras, you can exclude any manufacturer you desire.

New tools are good. If experience has made you Leary of a manufacturer it is good to be able to leave them out of the discussiion. Say you already know that an in-use VMS doesn't work and play well with a particular manufacturer.
Nice! This will help out quite a bit!
Nice!
Couple of suggestions that would allow one to use without fear of negative consequences:
In addition to the "x cameras match your search" count, a "x cameras EXCLUDED" counter would let you know what you might be missing. Clicking on the EXCLUDED word might toggle the pariahs in and out of the results.
In cases where no cameras exists EXCEPT excluded ones, you might show them anyway, but with a Sole Source alert of "Warning: Possible Rigged RFP".
Think '2MP dome with MxJPEG, but Mobotix excluded.'
