Axis Camera Management Tool Finding Non-Axis Devices

Has anyone else noticed that the latest version of the Axis Camera Management tool will discover, among other things, Avaya IP Phones, Dell iDRAC services, etc?

I dont see any options in the search wizard to only find Axis devices, maybe I just missed it, but this is quite the pain; I oddly havent run across this before, just curious if its something anyone else has, and if there is a work around in the search that I missed.

Interesting. Just to confirm, is this version 4.22.019?

It likely finds anything running bonjour if I had to guess. I do know that's the protocol that AXIS uses with their tool to find and manage their cameras.

I could see it finding a Canon network printer, but...

Sean,

Axis looked into this. They have identified 2 specific conditions where this might occur and they are looking to add additional checks in a future release.

Sounds like they're on top of this one.

Maybe in the interim, they could just issue a 'hotfix' which displays only devices where the MAC starts with 00404C or ACCC8E.
