It seems on the newer recorders, there are multiple regions, sensitivity and threshold settings. The default setting of sensitivity 80 and threshold 1 ends up recording motion too much of the time. Has anyone done any testing to have a better default setting to start with? It seems there's no way to monitor the real-time motion status like on VMS's and some IP cams.

Sep 01, 2015Most Dahua stuff comes out of the box recording continuous and max frame rate. By setting the motion at 80 and 1 it results in almost certainly that someone enabling motion detection will get recording.
